We have always called our single fingerlapped boxes "button boxes" because of an early Shaker box which bears the inscription "Sisters' collar buttons." Made from select Pennsylvania cherry, secured with solid copper tacks.

Button Box measures 9 3/8" x 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" high.
