Child's Rocking Chair
The Mt. Lebanon Shakers were ever sensitive to the importance of designing chairs expressly for those who were to use them. The Shakers numbered their chairs by size, from No. 0 for infants to No. 7 for large adults. All the details of this childrens's rocker were slightly reduced in size by the Shakers so that the overall proportion remains identical to an adult rocker.
A wonderful gift for a youngster aged 3 to 7. We make the No. 1 Child's Rocker in clear hard maple. Shown in Medium Stain with Lacquer Finish; woven in 5/8" Red/Bayberry Stripe chair tape in a herringbone pattern.
