Harvard Side Table

This elegant table was originally made at the Shaker community in Harvard, Massachusetts about 1840. Its sleek functional lines illustrate why today Shaker furniture is coveted by antique collectors and copied by contemporary designers. Trestle legs, unencumbered by a stretcher, and an underslung drawer allow it to serve as a sewing stand or writing desk, as well as a bedside or occasional table. The original is in the collection of Fruitlands Museums in Harvard, Massachusetts.

Like the original, we make Harvard Side Table in clear cherry, with drawer interior of pine. Shown in Oil & Wax Finish.

Available as an unfinished kit and a "made to order" finished piece.
