Roasted Maple Serving Boards
Hard maple solid butcher block panels are framed by borders of soft maple that has been darkened naturally through a new dry roasting process. The process is a bit like that used to dry roast coffee and it achieves one interesting result--the maple is turned as dark as a coffee bean all the way through without dyes or stains! The ends of the boards are nicely undercut, so that they can be picked up and carried easily.
Serving Boards are a full 3/4" thick and finished with hand-rubbed beeswax.
