Slat Back Rocking Chair
This faithful reproduction of the No. 7 rocker manufactured by the Mt. Lebanon Shakers for sale to the "World's people" reflects the finest aspects of Shaker design and craftsmanship. Its high back with acorn-shaped finials, its smooth turnings and flowing curves, and its overall feeling of lightness have made it popular for generations. Many mothers have also found it to be an ideal nursing rocker.
We reproduce a version first produced by the Shakers about 1875 and our replacement parts fit the originals perfectly. Like the Shakers, we make the No. 7 Slat Back Rocker in clear hard maple. Shown in Mahogany Stain with Lacquer Finish; woven in 1" Maroon and 1" Beige chair tape in a checkerboard pattern.
